i need your help!

Ok, all you creative types out there. Now that I've finally finished my CD shelf, I need some tips on how to decorate. What should I put on top? What should go on the wall above? Should I put anything in the really skinny shelves? We can move things around on the shelves themselves some too, if we need to. Here are some pictures of the rest of the room, so you can get an idea of the style.

This is looking into the den from the living room.

This is standing on the fireplace looking back into the room.

And again, the shelf and wall above. The door to the right is the storage/laundry room.

i vote for something orange. something overscale. gather more pale green/brown grasses, group them by three, and tie or hang them together with fat orange ribbons.

Spray paint some twigs orange and tack them to a canvas or board painted cream or the green you have on the other wall above the couch. on one of the third marks, do something different just to make it interesting. Like maybe leave a few twigs natural surrounded by orange twigs---or vice versa.

Get a big canvas and paint your dog's feet and let her walk around on it, then smear it with big brushes and sign it in a big fat black marker with some pretentious name. It will be art, a joke and a fun secret/conversational piece.

;) love this post!
